Healthy skin with avocado oil
Avocado oil composition
Traditionally used by Mexicans and South Americans as protection against the elements. It consists of mainly the good fats (i.e. monounsaturated fatty acids) which are known to promote the cardiovascular system and have anti-inflammatory benefits.
We know that avocado oil is commonly used for cooking but did you know avocado oil is amazing for the skin, especially those with dry skin due to its high content of oleic acid.
This amazing oil is packed with omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin E. It has amazing skin repairing properties as it penetrates deep within the skin layers. It is one of the best oils out there for those of you with dry, parched skin and will leave your skin looking healthy and hydrated.
Why is avocado oil good for your skin?
Let’s break the benefits of avocado oil down:
Aside from vitamin E, avocado oil has potassium, lecithin and other nutrient which moisturises and nourishes the skin. It also has anti-anti-inflammatory properties which can help to heal dry and irritated skin.
It is also a good treatment for sunburned skin (although you should have never gotten to this stage in the first place with the appropriate application of sunscreen!). Avocado oil is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, proteins and lecithin that soothe the skin and protect your skin barrier.
This nutrient-dense fruit is also known to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and protect the skin from environmental aggressors due to its rich content of antioxidants.
